Located within IPRA's Recreation (REC) Section, the Nature Committee consists of a group of professionals that specialize or work in and around nature centers and nature programming. Don't work at a nature center? Don't worry, we still have so much to offer to any program working to include nature into its recreational offerings.  If you are interested in joining the committee or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register.

Rooted in Trees:  Join fellow Parks & Rec professionals for the upcoming IPRA Nature Committee Meeting, at Arc Center at Reed-Keppler Park, a unique site recognized for its diverse and impressive tree collection. This session will include committee updates, collaborative brainstorming, plus a special “Site Spotlight” on Reed-Keppler’s arboretum designation and standout species.  We’ll highlight tree-based program ideas, seasonal engagement strategies, and opportunities to collaborate with the community. We’ll explore how tree collections can serve as powerful tools for nature education, even in the absence of a traditional nature center.
